Kim currently serves as Assistant News Director where she oversees the largest team of reporters in Kansas. She also heads up the FactFinder 12 Investigators.

She was born in Seoul, South Korea and was adopted when she was one year-old. She grew up in the huge metropolitan city of Boelus, Nebraska (population 221) and attended Hastings College where she earned a communications degree.

She worked at NTV News in Grand Island, Nebraska, where she was a reporter and photographer. In 1998, she had the opportunity to travel to Honduras with the Nebraska National Guard to cover Hurricane Mitch.

Kim also worked at KPTM Fox 42 in Omaha, Nebraska. She joined KWCH 12 Eyewitness News in 2001 as a general assignment reporter. While at KWCH, you’ve seen her cover the political beat with many trips to Topeka for the Kansas Legislature.  She also anchored and produced the Fox Kansas Weekend newscast for two years.

She enjoys digging for information and helping those who many times, feel like they have no other place to turn.

Kim is married with two sons. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoys spoiling her dog, Duchovny (yes, she admits to being an X-Files nerd back in the day).

Her favorite time of year is college football season so she can cheer for her beloved Huskers.
